Because picky eaters or not kids are always reluctant to try new food. This is a big concern for parents who are raising toddlers. If the child turns out to be a picky eater, then the challenge carries on until later in their lives. A lot of parents are intimidated by this. But if we look at it from a better perspective then we can actually help picky eaters with finding what they like.
Very important thing for parents to remember is that they can't be mad at their child for not being able to eat everything. Since it could damage their relationship with food pretty early on. The key to deal with such a situation is patience. It is really important for you to be patient with your child. The goal is not to scare them, it is to help them explore other foods.
Since we all know that there are 5 basic tastes namely, Sweet, Sour, Salty, Bitter and Savoury. You can try to identify which of these is like the most by your little one. And then you can present your child with healthy options of that flavour. For example, if you wanna feed your child Rice and they like sweet foods you can make a healthy kheer with almond, walnut or hazelnut paste in it. Which makes the food rich in carbs, calcium, vitamin A,B,E and proteins. If they like savoury foods you can make them a khichdi with mashed veggies. Which not only makes it healthy but also appetising for your little one.
