As moms, it’s our job to love and care for our children….but sometimes that responsibility turns into carrying all the family concerns, fears and to-dos in our heads…alone.
We are overloaded with thoughts that make us feel like we are carrying the weight of motherhood. It’s because we think we are supposed to, or have these unrealistic expectations. We forget that we don’t have to carry it all alone.
Because it may lead to bigger issues for mommy.
The list is endless.
Plus, our partners unknowingly contribute to this mental load…by expecting us to delegate tasks or remind them of things. They may not see signs coming when we inevitably break down. So they are caught off guard and ask, “why didn’t you tell me?!” “You should have asked!”
Again, it implies that moms must be the ones to pay attention to everything, take notes, and then delegate which can be so frustrating.
