Time Management has always been something necessary regardless of age. If you look properly everyone needs time management. When something like this becomes a prerequisite in life, it is very important for us to instil this value in our very own kids. But we cannot expect them to learn everything on a whim. When you teach your children important life skills patience on your end is the key.
Here one thing to note is, you need to keep your child's age in mind trying to teach them anything. For some age groups time management isn't much of a big deal since children mostly depend on their caretakers. But when your child is growing and so is their sense of independence, It is very important for you to teach them time management. So that they learn how to prioritise themselves in the long run.
You can always start this process by steps as simple as teaching them how to read the clock. But then as the time progresses you also add an element of incentive to the daily routine. So that they are excited to complete their daily tasks in a given timeline. You add the element of incentive by giving them certain treats or toys if they finish a task in a set amount of time. Apart from that you can also teach them time management by regulating things like their screen time and play time. Despite all of this you need to realise that you tell me not be able to learn at the pace you expect them to learn at. That is completely valid so don't get disheartened if they do not learn very fast. It is all an amalgamation of trial and error.
